Last September, I had something happen to me that made me really evaluate my physical and mental health. I was 35 years old. At my heaviest, I weighed in at 320 lbs. At that time, I was at about 290 lbs. I knew that if I didn’t make some serious life changes, I was going to die, sooner rather than later. I started hitting the gym, but I felt an old pattern emerging. After a couple weeks, feeling overwhelmed at how to get fit and feeling my motivation dive, I knew I needed help with this journey. That’s when Morgan and I connected for the first time.

In our first conversation, we talked about goals. I told her that I had no interest in getting shredded, in eating cottage cheese, or in surrendering my life to a gym. I wanted to feel better. I wanted to be healthier and that included indulging in good food, good wine, and bags of Sour Patch Kids. Morgan was clear: her goal as a coach was to help me make sustainable changes to achieve goals, not build unrealistic programs or unsustainable expectations. Together, we built a program that would make sense for me. That would ease me and my very out of shape body into a routine that would change my life.

Eight months in, I am down almost 50 lbs. My mental health is significantly improved. My energy levels are up. My sleep rhythms are better. Morgan helped me incorporate fitness and nutrition into my life in ways that were accessible and sustainable. The program Morgan developed for me has helped me build stamina, increase my strength, and enhance my mobility. Her focus on wellness more holistically, rather than just exercise or just nutrition has really helped me develop a lifestyle that prioritizes my well-being in different and ultimately healthier way.

I CANNOT say enough about how incredible the Embodied experience has been for me. I strongly recommend working with Morgan, whether your goals are big or small. She will help build an approach with you that makes sense for you.
